We believe that today’s music industry is oversaturated, and algorithms don’t help many artists get noticed, especially when their music doesn’t follow mainstream patterns. It also makes it much harder for regular listeners to find new tunes.

Because of that, we thought that building a community for artists and people who are searching for new sounds would benefit both sides.

We started as playlist curators, each of us building our own selections, sounds, and musical directions. Over time, we decided to cooperate and bring these efforts together in order to increase our ability to support artists and make their music more visible.

Different playlists within Kapx7 may be managed by different curators and focused on different genres and moods. Some playlists are more pop, some more alternative, some more emotional, energetic, underground, or experimental. But the idea behind all of them is to give good music a better chance to be heard.

Through our blog and playlist updates, we want to create a place where new music can reach people who are truly open to discovering it.
